Excerpts...Kindom Encounter - Prayer

A disciple is someone who emulates the teachings of another. Let’s take a closer look at Jesus and His view on disciples. When He arrived on the scene, He was baptized. During His Baptism, the Scripture says, He prayed. It was God who affirmed Jesus’s identity and His linage.1

After this, began His Ministry. He choose certain men to be His Disciples and they followed Him and believed. It is interesting to note that Jesus said those who believe His Words and practiced them as a way of life, were considered by Him to be His Disciples.

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:31 (KJV)

There is a connection between believing God’s Word and Prayer. We should always pray, this is true, but knowing what to say is the catch. This is where many struggle. If you follow the teachings of Jesus, you will have His Heart and His Point of view. You will always know what to say at the right time.
